Prof Dr Gregório Firmino, Dean, Faculdade de Letras e Ciências Sociais (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences), Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (UEM). Former Deputy-Dean for PostGraduate Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Coordinator of Post-graduate programs in the Department of Linguistics and Literature, in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, and Head of the Department of Linguistics and Literature. Has been overseeing and managing post-graduate programs at department and faculty levels, some of which involving foreign partners, such as Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Portugal), the Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal), Humboldt Universität (Germany), Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), UNFPA, CAPES (Brazil), DAAD (Germany), Science Po (France), etc. The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is also involved in academic exchange programs, which are also managed under the deanship.

The overall objective of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility programme is to promote sustainable development and ultimately contribute to poverty reduction by increasing the availability of trained and qualified high-level professional manpower in Africa.
