Professor Brook Lemma-Mamaru, (firstname.lastname@example.org; email@example.com and Tel: 00251-(0)911-880822) was born on October 26, 1958 at Adama (formerly Nazareth), Ethiopia. He did his first two degrees At Addis Ababa University (AAU) and his PhD at Dresden Technical University, Germany. He has provided consultancy services to UNESCO/IICBA (International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa) service to develop biology practical teaching modules in 2004; Developed biology practical guidebook for teachers of grades 5-8 of Ethiopian schools sponsored by the USAID; 2006; National Consultant on the improvement of Ethiopian fishery trade by way of changing the market value chains, sponsored by the FAO Sub-Regional Office for Eastern Africa, Addis Ababa in 2012; Research report on natural resources and environmental protection of Ethiopia for IGAD, Djibouti in 2014; EIA work on Ethiopian rift Valley lakes with Environmental resource management, ERM, of the UK and ESSD of Ethiopia in 2014; Mitigation and Adaptation Actions on Climate Change Impact of Ethiopia with the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences supported by DFID, UK in 2014.
His management, and coordination of university activities and social services include serving as Assistant Secretary to the Dean, Academic Program Officer, Coordinator of Continuing Education, University Registrar, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and President of Ethiopian Higher Education Institutes Sports Association at Haramaya (Alemaya) University, Eastern Ethiopia. He continued providing university and social services as Head of Department of Biology Education, Director Research Programs, and Coordinator of Grants’ of Addis Ababa University, and President of the Ethiopian Fisheries Association (EFASA) as part of a social service.
